Hi. I'm Chris Beshore, an iOS developer, marketer, and curator of Indie iOS Focus Weekly
In 2013, my daughter was searching the App Store for a good fake phone call app. We agreed they were all terrible and Who's Calling was born. Who's Calling allows the user to schedule fake calls to their phone. Besides including built-in characters, users can add their own characters and voices. Who's Calling has over 500,000 downloads with 65,000 monthly active users.
I built Quit That! to help myself quit some of my bad habits. Little did I know how many people this simple app would end up helping. With stellar reviews and great feedback, Quit That! has been a surprising success. The app uses the patronage model for revenue.

Censor Ninja is an app I built to learn how to implement photo editing and filters on iOS. I wanted to make an app that made it dead simple to censor a photo. Censor Ninja has over 125,000 downloads and 13,000 monthly active users. Users can access all features for free for a limited time, with the ability to unlock everything through in-app purchase.
When Who's Calling found success, I decided to use that formula to make Santa's Calling for kids at Christmas time. Each Christmas, I update the app with new characters and voices to give kids a connection to the North Pole. Santa's Calling is a paid app.
